It has branded the love hormone. Oxytocin is a powerful hormone that acts as a neurotransmitter in the brain. It plays a significant role in human behaviors, including recognition, sexual arousal, and trust. This hormone is stimulated dramatically during sex. The intensity of orgasm in both men and women has also been found tocorrelate with plasma oxytocin levels.
